With 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry and having worked extensively in Ladakh and Nepal, Mr. Tsering Angdu (former Tigertops Manager) felt travelers were missing the traditional and cultural experiences when staying in Ladakh. To provide a greater travel experience, Mr. Angdu built this property that takes travelers closer to the rich Ladakhi tradition and culture.  

Ladakh is the adventure capital of the country and famous for the top three highest motorable roads in the world. Also famous for Tibetan and Buddhism culture, this region is filled with mountain passes, frozen rivers, trekking routes, glaciers, monasteries and everything is beautified with snow. Stok is a village in Ladakh and is home to the 14th century Stok Monastery, with its 71 feet high seated Gautama Buddha statue.
